Duration Fields

Duration fields can be time based and used to display the amount of time between two separate date fields, or a date field and the current date.

 

So let's create a duration field within our check out action. This field will display the exact time in which an asset was checked out.

 

Let's do this!

 

1. Click your settings  icon, select Group Settings, and then select the Actions link from your Assets group.

 

 

2. Locate your Check Out action, and then select the Edit link. 

 

 

3. Scroll down to your Closed Field section, and then click Add New.

4. Provide a name for your field, and then select Duration as the Type. 

5. Select the Time based calculation box, and then select Returned Date and Check Out Date for the Duration between option.

6. Complete the remainder of this field by using the screenshot below, and then select Save and Close.

 

 

Just like that, you can now easily see within your action history the amount of days this asset has been checked out!
